This film follows Nawal during her quest exploring the ancient feminine Sufi musical traditions of the Indian Ocean. During the journey she shares thought-provoking reflections on society and culture on her native islands.

Filmed in both Comoros and Zanzibar, this road movie offers an intimate portrait of this French-Comoran artist through the stages of her latest musical creation with women from Mayotte and Mohéli, “Les Femmes de la Lune.”
